How Sicilitude began
Sicilitude was born from our love for Sicily and a deep desire to help others reconnect with their roots. We are two Sicilian women, who have lived abroad, but always felt the pull of our homeland. Inspired by our experiences and the richness of our culture, we decided to return to Sicily to live and work, dedicating ourselves to sharing its beauty with the world.
We came together to create an organization dedicated to roots tourism — helping people rediscover their ancestors and forge meaningful connections with our island.

Anita is a certified travel designer who manages the genealogical researches department at Sicilitude, where she specializes in creating personalized and carefully crafted itineraries for customers looking to explore their Sicilian roots. A member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, with her expertise and passion for genealogical research, she helps customers uncover their family history and reconnect with their heritage in a meaningful way. Fluent in English, French, Spanish and German, Anita is able to assist customers from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring a seamless and enriching end-to-end experience.
Silvia Giuffrida
Co-founder
and hospitality manager
Silvia is an experienced hospitality manager with over twenty years of expertise in the incoming tourism sector in Sicily. Her extensive knowledge of the island and its unique offerings allows her to provide customers with an unparalleled and authentic Sicilian experience. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of international travelers, ensuring that every aspect of their visit is handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
